Perched on the stunning Sorrento Coast overlooking the Gulf of Naples and views of Capri, Villa Fiorella Art Hotel presents a boutique catered experience in Sorrento. In the city of Massa Lubrense, the hotel hosts an impressive collection of contemporary art throughout its property which is changed annually. A recipient of One Key in 2024 from The MICHELIN Guide, owner Alberto Colonna has transformed the property, which re-opened in 2016 after several years of extensive renovation.

Stretching over six floors, the hotels’ collection of contemporary art showcases works by renowned Italian and international artists. Prior to closing for the winter season, the hotel had pieces from renowned Italian artists such as Mimmo Paladino and Enzo Fiore, and a striking sculpture by Paladino on display. Each room also features original artwork and most impressive is that all of its rooms face the sea offering a view that includes Capri on the left and Vesuvius on the right. Alberto Colonna explains. “Our rooms are 20 percent larger than standard rooms, and the garden that surrounds the hotel is a wonderful testimony to the centuries-old olive trees that we have on our grounds.”

Its ground floor is home to its pool-side bar and restaurant Scirocco, lounge chairs and an infinity pool that blends into the Tyrrhenian Sea. Just below the pool and lounge area is a multi-tiered garden which inspires the cuisine prepared by chef Carmine Mazza. From its olive and lemon trees to their eggplant and tomato, the chef honors the gastronomic tradition of the territory, but brings his own flair to present a haute cuisine. At Terrazza Fiorella, the property’s signature restaurant, guests are presented with a la carte options as well as a five-course tasting menu that highlights the excellence of the surrounding territory.

For an aperitif before dinner or a cocktail under the stars, Cielo Sky Lounge is the place to be. Whether sipping on a refreshing Limoncello or one of the other seasonal cocktails, lite bites can also be ordered to take in the stunning sunset. In their garden under a typical Sorrentine construction with trellises of chestnut wood and straw poles, Il Pergolato is a great spot for a party. Surrounded by the lush greenery of our olive trees, the outdoor barbecue and pizza oven play host to a mouthwatering dining experience.

Complementing the delectable cuisine is its wine cellar which has more than 780 labels Although the cellar itself is relatively small in size, it is a great place to do tastings with their sommelier and also holds private dinners and events with a full display of all the wines through floor to ceiling glass.

Away from the more crowded towns like Positano or Amalfi, Villa Fiorella Art Hotel presents an open invitation to indulge in Italy’s finest scenery, art and culinary distinction. .
